The Giant Aluminum Foil Ball // 2024

I’ve always wanted to make one of these. When I was very little, a lot of the kids at school, including me, used to collect sheets of foil from our meals in the school cafeteria to roll up and turn into a perfect ball. Kids would get competitive about who could roll the biggest, heaviest, densest ball. I remember one kid in our class had a ball that took up half of his entire backpack, rolled so smoothly you could almost see your reflection in it. Somehow, the dream to roll the largest foil ball I could never really leave me, and 16 years later, I rolled my own from foil used in my oven, air fryer, and the kitchens of a few friends.
